Q:   I'm getting ready to put my house up for sale, I can Stage it myself and get the same results right?

A:   No. You, as a home owner will never get the same great results Staging your own home even if you are a decorator.
     This is because it is your home and you will have an emotional attachment to it. Only a third party can look at the home in a way that a buyer can. You can have your friends help but will they be honest or avoid hurting your feelings? ASP Home Stagers are professionally trained. We know real estate and we know what buyers are looking for when they shop for a home.


Q:  I spoke to several Realtors about selling my house. They all said my house looked great and there was no need to Stage it.

A:  There are still a lot of Realtors out there that do not know much about Staging. Realtors need to stay current with new marketing trends. Although Staging has been around for 20+ years it is still young in parts of the country, Austin being one of them. If you have learned the truth about Staging, don't let your Realtor talk you out of it. All homes need to be Staged before being put on the market. If you're not Staging , know that your competition is. Hire a qualified Realtor that keeps up with marketing strategies.



Q: If we use your team to Stage and list our house for sale do you charge for the Staging?

A: It depends on the amount of Staging needed. If it needs just a few adjustments most likely not. If it needs furniture probably so, however using our team for both selling and Staging gets you a discount.

Q: Do we get to pick out the furniture you place in our house?

A: We strive to use furniture and accessories that will go in most homes to appeal to most buyers. Please note that what we have placed in your property for sale does work based on our education and experience. How you live in your home and how you sell a house are very different. Although we have an extensive inventory of furniture it is not possible to decorate homes for sale how you would want it decorated if living in it. It really is not a personal choice but one that appeals to most buyers without going too extreme in any direction.

Q: What is included in the Staging?

A: We provide furniture, linens, art work, accessories such as candles, lamps, pillows ect. We provide it all!

Q: I think I'll wait a month or two and see if my house sells and then I'll have it Staged if it doesn't. Why should I pay to have it Staged if it's going to sell the first month any way?

A: The first 2 to 3 weeks is when you get the most traffic to your house. Why not show these buyers a beautiful decorated home that will make them submit an offer.This is 2009! We are in a buyers market. Buyers have lots of homes to choose from. What is going to make your house stand out from all the other ones that day they look at 5 or more homes? Chances are, they won't remember it. Vacant homes rarely sell the first 30 days on the market. The longer the house sits on the market, the less money you will get for it. This has been proven over and over and buyers know it too.
